filtered swims crystals. stupidly put them outside in coffee filter to dry. they melted into a goo that seems to be halfway thru the filter. any suggestions how to get swims spice back? i put the filter on a glass plate and put in freezer so far. ive tried scraping the goo with no success
 
ok so i took the plate out and the crystl were on my glass even white then before they melted!! hows that for luck
 
Don't panic, just put the coffee filter with crystals on it in warm solvent to redissolve the spice. This way the spice redissolves back into the solvent after which you can freeze precipitate/evaporate it again.
 
thanks. i put it on a plate in te freezer and when i pulledit off it let come white residue that scraped up into crystals but the filter is still kinda thick like theres still spice in it.
 
Don't use a coffee filter.

We see this type of post weekly. Decant (pour off) the naphtha carefully. Make sure you get ALL the naphtha out, as it will redissolve the spice quickly as it warms up.

If you do fix it just like The Traveler wrote, you should recover every single MG that you lost.

Extractions are a learning experience. In time you will find what works best for you.
