I was reading that when someone takes muscimol it is excreted in their urine unchanged, how many other psychoactive substances work like this? (I know mescaline works like this too) Can muscimol be extracted from urine? Does urine go bad? If someone ate amanitas then urinated later and reduced this urine how long could this urine be stored in an air-tight amber glass jar without it going bad? What if someone put ethanol in their urine would that stop it going bad? Could urine be completely evaporated to leave muscimol powder?

Could I have a jar of mescaline-urine and a jar of muscimol-urine? :lol:

I wonder how you know that mescaline is excreted in the urine unmetabolised and to what extend you have the courage to direct your pee in jars/bottles while tripping. Also, if extractions in general are not generally welcomed with the greatest enthusiasm from flatmates/partners etc, how far one's pushing his luck by starting to play with gallons and gallons of smelly urine?

Other than these practical considerations, piss is generally aseptic (i.e. devoid of bacteria) and should not go bad any time soon if kept sealed in a jar. You could try extracting it and report back, just add lotsa acid and treat it like acidic extract. Just beware of the relatively diverse amount of other metabolites also secreted routinely in the urine that you may end up co-extracting (and re-ingesting). The gross factor is not that big (dryteks look more gross imo), but you should not be surprised if friends avoid your full of jars-with-urine house. So there's a social isolation risk here as well.

I didn't actually say I intended to do it, it is just that it seems that the fact that muscimol and mescaline is excreted in urine is mentioned quite a lot but no one talks about the implications of this. Would this disgusting mescaline extraction tek work?

1. Obtain mescaline-containing urine.
2. Reduce urine until at 20ml or something.
3. Add hydrochloric acid (or whatever acid would be best to use) to the urine.
4. Would mescaline hydrochloride precipitate out of the urine? What mescaline salt is a solid in water?
5. Filter out the mescaline hydrochloride (or whatever mescaline salt would be best to use)
6. Purify the mescaline hydrochloride.
7. Freebase the mescaline with sodium hydroxide to further purify.
8. Resalt the mescaline with hydrochloric acid to further purify.
9. ?????
10. Profit.

Is anyone willing to try this tek?, I call it the smelly, trippy piss tek.

Well, I really don't know how much of a fact is these excretions you refer to, could you please link to some sources to give it a critical evaluation? Without this, any talk about extracting alkaloids from urine is just mental masturbation.

FYI, it's better to acidify before reducing the urine (should you ever want to try this). Urea in urine breaks down to ammonia and CO2 by heating; ammonia will basify the urine and you may not really want to boil this basified stinky solution.

i have recycled (my own) urine both on high dose amanita muscaria and san pedro tea. to be honest, i cant say if this really contributed to the trips-which were both full of vision. the words "make new water" came to my lips after recycling san pedro 2x. It may be interesting to save some sometime and see if there is indeed anything left to be re-crystalized.

So you were tripping, peed, and drank it while under the influence? How much did you pass/drink? Cause having a sip of your pee (just to see how it tastes) is an understandable curio, but drinking 1-2 pints of it esp. while tripping leans pretty much heavily on the VERY weird/fetish side of the scale. What's next? Mud wrestling while on mushrooms? Or eating your pooh to recycle bufotenine?

Dagger, this doesn't work with everything. To my knowledge only muscimol and mescaline are urinated out after being consumed. With harmalas you wouldn't be urinating harmalas you would be urinating inactive or active metabolites of harmalas or a combination of both. If you do urinate active metabolites from harmalas then they probably would be less active than the harmalas and there would be NO harmalas in your urine as your body changes the harmalas in to all kinds of different things after consuming it.

hmm, well i dont think i am the first one to try recycling pee while tripping:wink:

it was def less than a pint each time, and was crystal clear and sparkled in the moonlight- so i thought it was a good idea at that time. these experiences were 2-4 years ago. i don't exactly have a pee drinking fetish:shock:
