using a 25 ml flask...need some help

Migrated topic.
You could add some more solvent (enough to dissolve all spice) and pour into an evaporating tray and leave to evaporate. It shouldn't take too long.

You should use naptha as the solvent as it picks up most of the spice and leaves the oxides etc behind.

...or use a solvent like acetone, IPA, ethanol or methanol to dissolve the spice and get it out. These solvents evaporate pretty fast and dissolve the spice extremely well.

now, why on earth did you use these flasks?:? they cry out for difficult retrievals! the only advantage is that they look cool!

thank you all! I just happened to find it layin around and wanted to geek out I guess..heh

But it does serve a purpose: saturating my solvent with spice! I can roll it around under warm tap perfectly(thanks geeg30) then evap/precipitate in a dish.

love the quick responses here :)
