Hello all! I recently had my first experience with ayahuasca and to say the least, it was visionary. Not pleasant, mind you, but I was able to make the first step towards what I believe will help cure my depression and creativity difficulties. I know I messed up the first time, I know I didn't treat it with enough respect and that's something I aim to fix. In the meantime, I want to begin planning my next experience. I have been reading up on the shamanic ceremonies and familiarizing myself with all aspects of the experience.
Recently, I've begun to think about ayahuasca variants. Obviously, there's the traditional brew of ayahuasca vine and chacruna, but then there's also acacia confusa, mimosa hostilis, syrian rue, etc. What I am wondering is, would using chaliponga introduce 5-MeO-DMT to the equation? If so, how would that change the trip and if so, is it worth it if confronting specific problems? Similarly, does using acacia confusa (which is supposed to have a decent amount of NMT in addition to the DMT) alter the trip in any way?
I would be very thankful for any responses, especially if you have any anecdotes about different effects. I really want to know if that 5-MeO-DMT would be beneficial.
