Vaping 5-MeO-DMT HCl-salt with e-sig

Hi all,

I have a stash of 5-MeO-DMT as the HCl-salt waiting to get used. I chose the salt form because it is more stable and I didn't want to take it immediately. But I'm also hesitant to snort the powder. So I'm looking for a way to vape the 5-MeO-DMT in my e-sig.

On Reddit there are some people saying that you can just dissolve the 5-MeO-salt in PG/VG and vape away. But a friend of mine states that this will create an unknown chemical reaction making this ROA unhealthy.

I'm a bit hesitant as well for converting the salt to freebase, as I'm not an experienced chemist and I'm afraid of spoilage or other mistakes whilst converting to freebase.

So, will dissolving the HCl-salt in PG/VG work just fine, or should I really convert it to freebase before smoking it? :?:

It really would be wise to convert to freebase before smoking. You can do this in microscale batches as and when required in order to avoid spoilage.

Putting 5-MeO-DMT into a vape pen either way sounds... risky. How is it possible to be sure about the dosage? This is exponentially more of an issue than with N,N-DMT.

Okay, I will try to freebase it. There are loads of topics how to do that, indeed

Someone on Reddit advises to make a ~80mg in 1.5 ml 50vg/50pg solution. However, I would start low and just work my way up gradually. So maybe start with 5 mg / mL, and if that doesn't do anything with a few hits, then add another 5 mg, etc.
