Does anyone know if buying a Vaporgenie—Glass Sherlock from Australia is possible? Australia has banned all vapes and their imports. I was wondering if it was possible to buy this, as it's more of a pipe. I'm just concerned because it's got Vape in the name. I've emailed Vaporgenie but haven't received an answer. Thanks!

In Québec/Canada we got politicians suffering from severe anal retention facing ma$$-media cameras but yours still beat mine by an order of magnitude:
Apparently your opportunity window is going to feel even more restrictive during the first half of 2025. Correct me if i'm wrong, advertizing was already banned in July, which doesn't help a bit. In addition you'll need a medical prescription for smoking cessation of nicotine (as dependency management), e.g. only therapeutic use is authorized while it has to be re-usable (not disposable), must comply to regulation and will be supplied by selected pharmacists who could obtain some suitable papers... In short i'd say you'll have to think of alternatives. Besides, what's the intended substance anyway?
Maybe you should waste no time anymore and immediately begin to investigate "medicinal" cannabis instead of "vapes", the later being associated with addictive habit-forming nicotine. How about moving to Toronto/Ontario? They complain about having too many $toner stores...

Also if you are going to invest in a vapor genie I would recommend you get the glass Sherlock, but if it’s difficult jou can source individual parts and use them to DIY a comparable product. If I remember correctly there should be a thread here on that subject.

OZ bongs was selling them. I'd email them, sometimes it won't be advertised if they're waiting on them to come in. They were also really affordable compared to ordering one direct from USA iirc.

Besides, my search for an australian reseller of PMI's iQOS Iluma (an advanced smoker induction-driven "HnB" item, though NOT intended for cessation...) just failed, for example. Yet that's all about nicotine, imagine cannabis even without THC in it, e.g. CBD only! Or DMT for that matter... Which is why i'm curious about your target use, in turn determining an eventual preference for convection and/or conduction.

To be honest, it seems like a lot of a lot of countries are falling apart. Also the way many countries seem to be falling into lockstep with each other kinda makes you wonder sometimes

It takes some getting used to. I use a health stone, pre-melt dose onto the stone. Use a torch lighter. Bring torch in slowly as you begin to toke. You should see the pipe fill with thick white vapor. Take a huge toke your first hit. Go for a second hit quickly as soon as you blow out the first one. It can start getting weird pretty fast and hard to operate everything so be quick. Take a third hit if you want or are able. If you have someone to help out, that is cool, just let them operate everything and you just concentrate on ingesting however many hits you want.

Quite frankly it just puzzles me why new users keep being told to purchase the GVG or « Glass Sherlock ». In 2012 when i got my 1st VaporGenie one main issue was combustion: its learning curve proved to be too steep, so i gave it away before a week passed. Mine was made of wood but at the time its unresolvable challenge resulted from configuration, so the year after i gave it a 2nd try, which lasted for many more years; actually even today i still can't stand the genuine layout with ease. But...
Having a wood model allowed me to explore a dozen exploratory iterations until it felt to be well-tuned: my pre-heating finally went down to about 1 second!
Each transformation required a long period of training in order to acquire some sufficient perception of what i'd need to attempt next. Lets simply say that sharing this was beyond laborious, but i managed to save the essential part in pictures via Flicker. So if you go check you'll see that you ain't the only VG owner around to have found it less than satisfactory, at least in the very begining. After that i can't follow you in DMT wonderland as i only consume cannabis, e.g. perhaps glass then shows its advantages, but the core layout would require a major revision IMHO.
In any case the GLASS model won't allow any of this sort of customization. YMMV!!
