Veo 3 AI-generated videos

Idk if it's some sort of midlife crisis but I've been thinking a lot lately about how much fun it was back in the day. Social media to me is boring.
Nah, life was just better back then. It has nothing to do with aging or anything. We can only compare specific facts. There were no homeless people on the streets, the cities didn't look like some third-world pit hole, and music and cars were pieces of art. Dude, it's just an absolute fact that it was like this.

Some of your internal response is part of aging as well. Things don't seem so novel anymore, and so new stuff just seems... dumb.

Every generation does this with regard to every younger generation since the ancient times.

I don't agree with you because 1910-1950 were horrible times, and I wouldn't want to have been born during that period. And my granny said these times really sucks and she didn't like it. But now it really sucks too. The 80s and 90s were the best mix of freedom and common sense overall, and the quality of life was much higher. We didn't need to live in debt to have a normal life. My dad bought a house in two years of working as a factory worker and just saving money. He bought a great house for his family with no debt at all.

Today, people take out mortgages for 30 years. It's insane. Dude, these are just facts, nothing made up out of thin air, and it has nothing to do with aging.

The younger generation doesn't know how good it was.

AI is just a mess that gonna derail people's lives even more than porn and crappy movies did.

You're conflating topics now. I was responding to what you  did say, which was the comment about social media being boring.

You and your perspectives change as you age. That's a "fact."

Relative to what you decided to share in response to my response, youre looking at the experiences and circumstances of one country it seems (the US). I encourage to look into other parts of the world during the times in which you're highlighting here.

Also, using what your grandmother said is just anecdotal evidence. Yes, it was a hard time in many parts of the world, but you neglected to mention anything about the 1960s or 1970s.

Of course 1910 to 1950 was horrible... WWI and WWII. Destabilized the whole world almost.

And how does one determine the best mix of freedom and common sense? What is the standard for this?

All this being said, you're conflating facts with opinion. Just because you site "facts" that support your opinion doesn't mean youre not ignoring other valid factors that are contrary to your opinion.

Okay, it makes sense.

I would like to clarify, just because it's your opinion doesn't mean it's wrong, because that opinion is right for you. It's derived from information available to you in conjuction with experiences you had and things perceived. So, I definitely get why you'd prefer the 80s and 90s. For me, on a personal level, it would probably be the 90s and early 2000s.

90s and 2000s for me but I wish I grew up in the 80s. It seemed the grooviest. I remember I hadn't talked to my homeboy in awhile in 2005. He was like bro you gotta create a MySpace page. I'm like wtf is that...he goes you create a web page and we can chat and stuff. I was like why go on a computer when I can talk to you in person. Unfortunately about a year later I was heavily addicted to MySpace. Other than this site and of course youtube. I don't mess with social media. Never been on Twitter and briefly on Instagram for business purposes

I wanna confess that I have a fear of the future, and I wanna go back to the 80s. I feel uncomfortable and out of place when I see everything that is happening.
when it happens take a walk outside and look at the world around you right now. i wasn't even on earth in the 80s but when i see this kind of things i feel uneasy too. but try going outside, being in nature, breathing. the birds have no clue about ai, or about climate change, politics. it's right to know about these things in order to be able to defend ourselves and others and to act to the maximum of our possibilities. but don't go beyond that please. some would say that us living in fear is exactly what some people in power want. i don't know if it's true but it's useful to believe it. and before our times there was world war, then cold war with fears of nuclear destruction. every time has their fears. but we're overexposed to bad news. but we should be gentle with ourselves. don't give up hope. hope it's not silly or at least it's not sillier than worry
