Publication Very interesting DMT paper

As a complete novice to scientific literature, I was intrigued to have a go at this, and after googling some definitions, if I understand somewhat correctly, they're using naturally occuring or slightly modified enzymes as a means of naturally synthesizing psychedelic tryptamines from a single host source? The aim being that this would be a much more efficient, ethical and sustainable alternative to mass produce the therapeutic psychedelic tryptamines than the current alternatives, being unethcial or unsustainable harvesting from plants and toads, or artificial synthesis, which is better than the latter in my opinion, but still requiring costly and more wasteful practices and resources?
