VG.. or Vapor buddy?

Wanting to experiance the brutal effectiveness of the well talked about Vapor
Geni ....
I just bought what I thought was a VG...:?: but later discovered it was a Vapor Buddy..a copy of VG..
It cost 40 dollars and looks great.. and apears to be polished anodized aluminum ..
The stem is thick heavy aluminum and every other part apears to be aluminum with a steel screen...
I see no traces of paint anywhere ..on or in pipe..
Im a little concerned because i just found older posts around 2009 that VB was un safe because of ..[lead paint?]..and claims by VG that the ceramic disinagrated making it also unsafe?
What is in my pipe may be volcanic pummace...
There were two other VBs that were blue in color...i took the silver [I think paintless one]
Has anyone used a VB before ..
Im shure this model is much newer than back in 2009 and posibly they made it safer?
I can return this tomorrow for store credit..
Any opinion welcome!

I purchased a vapor buddy once of eBay for $11 and it was a genuine one aswell , it was cheap as I later found out they where getting rid of there stock as they hardly ever sold any , and after three smokes there quality was shithouse , the so called volcanic pumice breaks up very easily and is very brittle !! Other then that that screens break easily aswell ! Try to get a refund if possible !

Yes they had a 10 dollar cheapo model..this one is a 50 buck model it is suposed work well and is sold every where in Canada and other parts of the globe..except ..the usa.. because they copied the Vapor Geni...
Returning it may be the best move?
