Virtual Burner Festivals

Local burn events (along with the big burn) are becomimg virtual because of the new coronavirus.

On April 25th the festival "Emergence" will be going virtual. If you have a facebook account you can see the latest announcement here:

There is also www.emergence.org (but it looks like the plans for a virtual festival have not been announced there yet).

Since it is virtual I imagine everyone can participate from anywhere in the world. Cheers.

For anyone who's gone, How is it? Any tips for a virtual burn?

Ok, there are a lot of options here, ~9 recognized virtual reality universes. For simplicity to get together, I'm going to focus on one of them (what looks like currently to be the main one):

BRCvr, on the AltspaceVR platform.

For those new to this:

1) Install AltspaceVR (on your VR headset or a PC). Create an account. Note: AltspaceVR is not supported on mobile devices
2) Allow the "Early Access" option in your AltspaceVR profile settings
3) Look for "BRCvr" in the AltspaceVR worlds list (you may need to click on "More" to see the "Worlds" link). The BRCvr world is currently is towards the end of the featured worlds (see screenshot below).

I'll be there for this year's burning man. Burn night is September 5th.
