Visual check please

hello friends, I have been a long time lurker on this forum with no log in, now I have a log in.

Anyway, a nomen based tek was performed (with some minor modifications) first attempt with 50g of MHRB yeilded 130mg of this sparkly white magic. Also included in the yeild was a few yellow looking blobs (somewhat crystaline, somewhat 'goo')

Would someone with knowledge and experience offer some insight into the identity of the two substances? (note the photo was taken on the surface of my cooker, hense the white spots...

Can't see any photo, rivergoblin.

From your description it sounds like you are on track though. The goo you are mentioning is probably just some plant oils that have come over in the process, nothing to worry about.

Yea as long as you're sure you didn't get any of the NaOH/water layer through then I'm sure it'll be fine. I've smoked yellow half crystal half gunk stuff and there was nowt wrong with it

Thankyou for your comments, try the link now, it should show the photo. As you can see, theres only a few small yellowish blobs. Cant say the crystals have been sampled yet, perhaps a summary of the results will get posted here?

looks fine to me.
I get all manner of different colours/textures from my pulls using an STB. White crystals, yellow crystals, yellow blobs, orangey crystals, orangey blobs, red goo, red crystals, yellow oils, red oils etc. They all smoke fine, and all are active. some moreso than others.
As Digi123 said as long as you didn't get any lye solution in the pull its fine.

The method was carried out very carefully, there is no nasty in the finished product. Learning and carrying out the extraction certainly was fun, when the right time presents itself, the spice will be sampled.

Well 30mg of the spice was sampled. it didnt smell very strong, no visuals, so dimension jump. Just the familair rush and drive and the 'change of gear' that preludes crossing over, but thats where it finished. methinks the does needs to be higher, as this spice is weak. Like I say, the smell is very faint.. not gonna get involved with thinking I did something 'wrong'(funny concept that innit?)
