Hello nexus, I'm glad you are here. Background: I'm 42, started using psychedelics at around 12( mescaline, LSD, shrooms,) Im a long time pot smoker with some serious power lungs. after many years of research i got my hands on some DMT freebase. My first toke was very close to a breakthrough, about 10 mgs,and extremely pleasurable. On my second toke, I loaded the pipe with about 75mgs , I knew i would not smoke it all, but wanted to see how it would feel to take as big a hit as I could. Right as I started to be propelled into hyperspace my cat , peaches, jumped in my lap purring, well her purring turned into much louder sound with a similar frequency, and was accompanied by a sense of great and overwhelming pain and the loss of who or what I was and what I had done., what I saw could not be described here, unrecogizable shapes and colors, followed by blinding white light, followed by???. I blacked out, when I regained conscousnous, I experienced the patterns and designs( seemed of ancient origin) which I experienced on my first trip. When it was done i was quite terrified. My question is this: Did I smoke too much? Was this a hyperslap? It sure felt like one. Next time, not such a big hit. It's hard when you have power lungs, and are used to taking as big a hit a possible.:!:

i also have been power lungs (lol) it seems to me what you experienced is "ego death" you can look it up on wiki. my first breakthrough was similar and it is a little disorienting at first but i would not call that a hyperslap... maybe a mini one as you blacked out and did not remember afterwards. my advice (as someone with power lungs) is to try a bong. take a good rip and hold it for maybe half (ish) as long as you can. see how that goes then take another:d
see how this works and remember that everyone has a different tolerance and "perfect" dose.

P.S. i dont think you CAN smoke too much lol

I am not an expert, but it appears that,

1. you did to much
2. your cat intervened
3. you got not hyperslapped but hyperknocked out.

Seeing how much you can rip in a hit is asking for trouble (I know cos I have done it) when you get a bit more experienced you will find there is a sweet spot with dosage.
