Hello everybody I'm Vito and this is my first post, been lurking here for a little while, and i must say this community is more friendly than most I've witnessed.
And now I guess onto the issue at hand, so, how does it go? Oh yes, a "FOAF" was trying the stb fast tek using some acacia maidenii bark from low on the trunk(not taking too much, but enough), he put water with lye and then added the shredded and broken down bark(not quite powdered) leaving it overnight.
The next day I heard he added naptha and shook several times throughout the day. About 12 hours later he apparently sucked up all the naptha and put in a large glass dish and left to evap with a fan blowing over the top.
He said he saw the majority of the naptha disapear but last he saw of it mainly a waxy residue was left behind but nothing crystalised, although he had since gone to bed and work since so he has a chance to look again since.
He asked me toask you guys if this is normal, or do the crystals appear much sooner. He might be able to provide a photo for reference later. Thanks.
