In strassmans book he said he used 0.3mg/kg doses now since this is salt he was using Iwas wondering what that would equal out in freebase form
 
I guess your talking about the IV dosing in Spirit Molecule. I believe they were using DMT Fumarate: mol weight of DMT: 188.269 g/mol mol weight of fumaric acid: 116.07 g/mol so DMT Fumarate is 61.9% DMT and 38.1% Fumaric Acid by weight 0.3mg of DMT Fumarate then contains 0.186mg of DMT base But, and I could be wrong here, I believe that when they say 0.3mg/kg they might well be talking about DMT base. They would then later factor in the weight of the acid component of the salt and dose accordingly (in this case they would administer 0.48mg/kg of DMT Fumarate)
 
no no well unless the subject weighed 1000kg if you dose 0.3mg / kg of DMT fumarate to a person (ie 0.186mg / kg of dmt base) say the person weighed 100kg they will receive only 18.6mg of dmt 😉
 
see i dont know anything about kg weight damn american measurement system but 18 now that doesnt seem like that much maybe you get more bang for your buck with fumerate
 
The IV injections were dmt fumarate (the only salt the FDA has granted approval for human testing). The high doses were 0.4mg/kg and were measured as the furarate. There is a part in the book where the lab tech believes the dmt had degraded by doing his calculations using the base weight, but Strassman corrects him by telling him it is in salt form.
 
ah interesting to know that last bit acolon 0.4mg/kg for a 100kg person gives 24.8mg which isn't that small when we're talking iv doses.. i'm surprised though that the weight is indeed measured as the salt, perhaps salts are more bioavailable for some reason effectively reducing the dose of dmt.. also to note that iv is 100% efficient or thereabouts whereas smoking a 50mg crystal, you'll likely get not a lot more than 40mg.. in that case maybe it is a reasonable dose
