Weird user/viewer statistics?

Looks like there was a class online earlier! How do we get 85 viewing information alone with 63 active users then a little while later we are down to 1 viewing? Curiouser and curiouser :?

The stats can never be correct all the time since it's session based, the server doesn't really know when someone stopped surfing the DMT-Nexus but makes an estimate based on life sessions.

The huge amount of guest here seems to be correct, normally there would be a bit more guests then members online. Every time you watch a thread the google ads are loaded and google checks the current page, hence the 'guest'.

If you see an crazy amount of guests (in the hundreds) thats most of the time someone who's downloading the whole forum. As long as they do it really slowly they won't hit the anti denial of service brick wall.
