What did SWIM extract?

Alright this is quite a noobish question.. But SWIM is curious.

SWIM did a STB and freeze precipitated crystals.

Is this dmt fumerate, acetate, or freebase?.. I am a little confused by these terms.
Could someone please clarify them for me?

It all depends of your extraction tek, and what did you use to salt out your tryptamines.
If you give us more detail we can tell you.

I don't beleive the STB involves salting. I think you have freebase, as it's the product of n,n-dmt and NaOh. I've never done an stb however so perhaps someone can clarify better than me.

Edit:

As I understand it, the freebase is basic or alkaline, just like the lye it reacted with.
The salts are fairly PH neutral.
If you used Acetic acid, then you get acetate, if you used fumaric acid then you get fumarate, etc.

They would be freebase DMT crystals most likely.

The pKa of DMT is 8.68. At that pH it’s 50% freebase, and 50% salt.

Freebase is what you get when you basify DMT with lye, lime, soda ash, etc. If the last step in the extraction has a high pH, you have freebase DMT. Basically taking the pH 2 points above 8.68 makes DMT a free molecule, unpaired with anything else. It’s just DMT.

DMT fumarate, or DMT acetate, are DMT paried with an acid. When DMT is mixed with an acid at a pH 2 points below 8.68, it pairs with it forming a salt. So if the last step in your extraction has a pH of 6 or so, then you have DMT as a salt, such as DMT fumarate, or DMT acetate, depending on the acid you added.
