What does freebase taste like?

Like if you licked a bit off your finger. Does it have a salty taste? Asking out of curiosity

It would be bitter. It will also burn like hell. If your going to try sublingual administration, convert it to a salt.

That said, tincture of freebase in 90% ethanol appears to have some noticeable effect sublingually. As well as burning a little (OK, rather more than 90% alcohol alone would), and tasting less than gourmet but by no means the worst. Nicely purified recrystallised DMT tastes better than the grubby, stinky stuff.

Bitter tasting, nothing to enjoy. I read somewhere that's because of the alkalinity.
