im doing my first extraction today with this tek 2nd 100g extrct - uber pictures  - STB - Welcome to the DMT-Nexus and im on the step where it says add ~75ml of naphtha per pull. What does pull exactly mean? the tek is for 100g of MHRB but i grinded up about 150g of shredded MHRB that i grinded myself using a blender so im using about 150% of the said measurements.

How long am i suppose to leave the naphtha in the boiled water for? and what exactly does this step mean? step 7 "SWIM measured out his naptha (~75mL per pull) and added to jug. then he rolled end over end 3-4 times per pull for 2 minutes and let separate."

I recommend before you start to do a process, read it a few times to understand what you're gonna do. Don't start doing things if there are parts you dont understand.

Also please read the FAQ.

As anrchy said, pull is the act of mixing the solvent with your basified solution. You said 'leave the naphtha to the boiled water', hopefully you didn't miss the 'adding the base' part.

Pull...

After you have done the vinegar soak, added your saline solution, and basified with base of your choice, add your (now defined) "NPS" of choice, mix thoroughly but gently so as not to froth it up.

Let separate.

Repeat above, let separate; Like 4 times total.

Once its separated like 4 times, you "pull" it off the big body of liquid using pipette or baster, or eye dropper if that's all you have.

That's one pull done.

Now go do 5 more :P

There is enough information freely available all over loads of sites. I agree with endlessness, you should always learn as much as you can before hand, and use combinations of whatever works best for you or sounds like a good idea

The only thing I would disagree with is this:

It's probably better to follow one tek for your first couple tries. Less chance of "what the hell went wrong?!" syndrome.
