I tried an A/B on a. confusa. Lots of citric boiling and one extraction with everclear just for fun, which indeed increased the alkaloid yield and affected a brown coloration in the later pulls.
First 2 pulls (naphtha with freeze precipitation) were very white, cleaner than some mimosa first pulls. After getting it onto the plate, it changed to drops of liquid which smelled typically tryptamine-like but had more of a smell like a mixture of different human body fluids. With manual crystallization sessions taking place once a day, it took about 3 days for this goop to actually become the white crystals I was expecting. Those crystals still behave quite more like actual candle wax than any other extract from any other plant. It just looks like crystals, but really there is a goopy undertone.
Bioassay of this material was substantially less intense than mimosa alkaloids at the same dosage, however (in an unrelated way) there was an ineffably more positive vibe to the whole experience. Nothing threatening AT ALL. It may have had more threatening-ness to offer had I not already experienced mimosa alkaloids at very high dose, as I think there is a certain amount of experience one must gain of dealing with the energy built up from previous poorly-programmed behavior before the adjusted behavior of post-DMT can build up into the sort of thing that consistently rewards you upon "smoalking". But it could be that this plant's alkaloid mix is really human-friendly.
Later pulls, which are probably containing fats, refuse to get past the very-viscous goo phase. However, they smell exactly the same as earlier pulls.
