what is appropriate?

i will be doing multiple extractions of mhrb using a HCl/NaOH/Naphtha a/b tek and i was wondering

if i have a 500ml sep funnel, what is the appropriate amount of mhrb to use per extraction?

i am considering 100g each time, and will be reducing the volumes, but if i want to maximize quality and yield, is that too much or too little given the volume of my sep funnel?

I think you can push it to 200g, Ive done 400g in a 1l separatory funnel and it worked fine.

well swim is looking to order a sep funnel himself. any advice on size or anything to keep an eye out for(like a larger valve or what not i dont know just checking).

It depends on how much you're gonna extract at a time. I'll be doing about 100g at a time and I think 500ml funnel is about as small as I can get. If you can afford it, get a nice one at least a liter. Make sure it has a polytetrafluorethlyne (PTFE) valve. It plastic and is very sensitive. Mine has a glass valve/stopcock and I have to put silicone lubricant on it to keep it in working order.
