What is the most simple extraction tek using the least equipment?

Migrated topic.

SWIM has been lurking this forum for about a year now, still waiting to do his first extraction, but finding every excuse not too. SWIM has found a good UK supplier for some bark and will purchase as soon as he can decide upon which extraction tek to follow.

There are so many!

SWIM initially thought this was his best bet:

But this requires a Crockpot which SWIM does not have. SWIM has noticed that extractions are getting simpler and more refined as times move on, but SWIM cannot decide which tek to follow for a first attempt.

Could one of this fine community kindly link SWIM to a simple tek, of which the apparatus can be simply purchased online with as little cost as possible?

Thanking the hyperspace club kindly.

"Straight to Base", or "Lazy Man's" -- :)

SWIM is trying his best to research teks at work.
SWIM would love a tek with photos & clear steps, but SWIM is probably asking too much?

SWIM will persevere.

Thanks Mardybum

All the STB teks are pretty similar. If you are really looking for easy, just stick some shredded/powdered bark in a milk jug with a LOT of lye ~75grams for 1kilo of bark, add naphtha and in 2-3 hours start pulling out the naphtha and replace it with fresh naphtha. Stick recovered naphtha in freezer and wait 1 day.

SWIM is thanking everyone kindly for the input on this post.
SWIM also needs to establish the best UK version of Naphtha.

SWIM has searched this forum and found a fellow psychonaught recommend "B&Q sells naptha branded as "Bartoline Premium Low Odour White Spirit". 2L will cost you £4"

SWIM can see this on the B&Q website

Could someone advise SWIM if this would be adequate?

Check out this thread on UK solvents.

I believe there is another thread on Naphtha Equivallents in the UK. A quick skim through says that b&q is fine for extractions and does not leave any residue when evaporated.
