I like a statement of Helena Blavatsky in the Secret Doctrine about time. It was something like - "Time is an illusion created by successive alternations of our states of consciousness during our itinerancy in Eternity".

I agree. My understanding of time is, for lack of better words, a sort of bi-product of moving through dimensional space.Parshvik Chintan said:time = distance/rate
so.. one could say (only partially inaccurately) that time is the measurement of dynamism (physical dynamism, not philosophical)
This is a tricky moment. When there is only one particle how it can "know" where is that point B and that it stay in point A? And how it can create time/movement if that one particle stay still in the same "place"? There is must be at least two particles to create visible movements and distance or space if you will relatively to each other. If we`ll go from this micro level to to the macro level of universe there is again that question - where it stay and move relatively to what? At least these questions rises in my head if we consider time as distance/rate. Crazy stuff... :dolympus mon said:...When the first particle moved from point A to point B in space there also had to exist time.
Trippy.

If there's no time then that could mean that all experiences and events are happening simultaneously. Perhaps this is the case, and our construct of time is simply the linear form in which our brain 'files' the experiences.
We as humans cannot experience the past, nor the future. The present is the only thing we can experience. So how do we know that the past or future even exist? We don't. We only imagine they do. Right?
