What tek to use?

I apologize for being kinda lazy, but hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.
For sure, I will perform an extraction. But my problem is…
WHAT TEK DO I USE XD

I've looked at many so far. The one on Drugs Forum, the Daily Motion video, the nontoxic wiki, the DEIS Tumblr method, etc.

But after a while of trying to troubleshoot any questions I have, more and more people tell me to use a different tek

I'm located in Canada and I'm looking for the method that can almost guarantee me success.
If anyone can refer me to the tek they used or something that can work for me, please do so :thumb_up:

There are heaps of tried and tested TEKs. It depends on what you're after. Are you willing to compromise on purity for a cheaper or more straight forward extraction, for example? I'd start off with looking at the pricing of materials and what's accessible in your area.

That's what I'm talking about. I live in Canada.

The Noman's Tek said use VM+P Naphtha or something and not to use Lighter Fluid. I can probably get Lye, and Ronsonol Lighter Fluid but that would contradict what the tek said. I just want to follow the tek completely so I don't run into any errors that can't be solved.

Very good, it would take quite a bit of time and, well after a few beers, I'm a bit confused about what it means by put the naphtha back in the soup and stuff. I guess all teks are gonna require me to repeat steps.

Very good, it would take quite a bit of time and, well after a few beers, I'm a bit confused about what it means by put the naphtha back in the soup and stuff. I guess all teks are gonna require me to repeat steps.

It's saying to add the Naphtha, the non-polar solvent, to the polar base mixture, which is the DMT water + Sodium Hydroxide (the soup). After agitating it a bit and allowing it to settle (repeating this agitation/settlement multiple times), you separate it with a glass turkey baster (or equivalent) and add the saturated Naphtha to a collection vessel (like a glass baking dish). You then add new Naphtha to "the soup" again, and repeat that step a few times.

Also, 600 mL Naphtha is a bit much I think. I'd go with 400-500 mL.

The TEK is a little bit difficult for a beginner, but... It's the best IMO.

Hello, long time lurker here. I have used Cyb's hybrid salting tek with high-end results on both MHRB and ACRB. Starting small comes recommended, as I made a sleight mistake that greatly impacted yield on my first attempt.

I was about to say, I should try smaller amounts and work my way towards larger quantities.

Also, I have never extracted DMT, but I am quite familiar with chemistry. But this is not something I would just wing. I need to do absolute research and have a complete understanding of what I'm doing.

You're understanding will def give you the upper hand but it's not as easy as the recipe sounds , some ppl have great results first

up but like me it took quite a few goes to get it down pat to a point of getting pure white extals everytime , and I've sort of now got

addicted to the extraction process or should I say i enjoy it more then accually smoking the results but good luck , 50g Cybs

hybred TEK is the latest and greatest for the beginner , then try to tackle the max-ion and with this patients is the key and well

Yes defat is a must !! But get a ph meter there $9 on eBay !! Most useful !!

Not necessarily. It depends on the plant source being extracted. In my experience, defatting is entirely unnecessary when working with Mimosa hostilis root bark. I also had great results when I extracted from Acacia confusa root bark without performing a defat step.

Sorry I should've said defat is a must when working with ACRB in larger amounts then 50g as I find you still pull the same amount

of dmt but whilst drying the crystal the plant oils and fats most times then not they will slowly invade the crystals structure and

reduce it to a dish of goo which is still a very good smoke and some do prefer it over the crystals , but it's like if youre going to do

it ( extract ) you strive for perfection and that's just human nature and perfection = pure crystal !

It should be easier/more efficient to either salt out of NPS or re-x rather than defatting.

Imo, defatting is a waste of time/energy/solvent that has been recently popularized due to many people switching to acacias but not familiarizing themselves with various extraction methodologies.

I also used Cyb's tek fifth time now with little tweaks from Orion's tek and i was able to get very nice white crystals:thumb_up: Experiment:!: I completely ruined one extraction with tweaking it and result was 50g of mhrb down the toilet But you must loose some to gain some more down the road. For couple of first time extractions follow teks to the point and you'll be good. When you get it down then start to experiment by tweaking already accomplished teks for beginners or move on on more intricate expert ones.:thumb_up:

I'm also looking for a beginner tek to use. I came here a week ago and had no idea you could get dmt so easily and inexpensively for yourself.

Cyb's Hybrid Salt tek which was already mentioned here is the way I think I'm leaning.

Josh Isom's tek was interesting as well, but 1kg of ACRB is way too much and I don't want to have the responsibility of scaling everything down precisely.

Cyb's tek looks pretty easy, and I have most of the materials already, before even Removed the Mimosa Hostilis with which the tek derives its dmt content.

I'll definitely document when I decide to do it.
