What's making my crystal clear yellow..?

Hi Nexus, Yielded crystalline using Q21's A/B Tek2 fluffy white funfest...
After freeze prep. And drying at room temp.. Yielded crystalline yummy product but upon harvesting.. It turns to dark yellow scrapings...
Did my research and came to the conclusion of redisolving in clean new hot naptha and boiling it with activated carbon to remove the yellow tint...
Then recrystallizing...... Am I on the right path?
Enlighten me please...
(Btw. Used the yellowish brown scrapings and it IS potent!! Harsh on the toke but manageable with controlled flame to vape but resulted in wheezing and slight discomfort on the backside center spine. Cleaning the spice I know I must)

Yellow supposedly comes from excess plant oils, which is a result of I think boiling to high temp or using too much acid. If it works, I wouldn't worry about it.

While doing an acid extraction you may try washing with a nonpolar solvent to remove some impurities. It's exactly like doing a pull from basic solution -> nonpolar solvent except this time you discard the solvent. That should help clean up your product a little.

Also while washing your acid solution/plant mixture, get in and get out. Any freebase DMT not fully lysed/acidified may be discarded by mistake so fon't allow this process to take any longer than it should.

Yeah do a re-x, definitely. If it's that harsh you may have leftover lye in there. It may just be fats too but either way re-x it and you'll get a cleaner product. Also I've heard to be very careful about the amount of carbon used as it can soak up the good stuff too.

I'd perhaps suggest a re-x without carbon then if it doesn't yeild the right results then try another with the carbon. The first re-x should really help though.
