Whats your overall approach?

So, Swim has Done A/B, STB, and BLAB with FASI.

Lately his method of extraction has become: STB with a pre-acid soak like in BLAB, but then with a twist, instead of precipping with FASI he takes the limonene and performs three or four vinegar washes and then combines the washes, adds excess base, and does several naptha pulls - in essence taking the limonene and doing a A/B on it.
SWIM finds that it produces very pure DMT while retaining the limonene for recycling.

What's your overall approach?

GOD I love hot solutions, they're so much better at dissolving.
and filling it RIGHT up to the neck so that its easy to get that very last little bit of n.p

AND scooshing it back in there to kick up all the sediment so you know you've got that
not quite freebase not quite acidic residue to pull from!

and i love recrystalising until its totally pure!!! Mwahhaha

SWIMS operation has become pretty efficient. Alot of recycling involved, for example; he's just Based a load of dmt acetate containing white vinegar to maximum, and extracted all the DMT from it with naptha. now, he's labeled it 'based water' and will use it with some fresh mimosa, as it still contains DMT. That way, whatever DMT was in it will add to the MHRB soup and be extracted next time round.

yeah recycling solvent is great... SWIM has done different kinds also, from STBs to A/Bs and BLAB, using limo, salting with vinegar, FASI, FASW... last one he's making now, he's comparing the yields between acetate and FASI in a side by side extraction... once results are in he will post back. He might also compare the freebasing with IPA pull or Acetone pull or pulling inactives with water like amor fati's approach

having pure dmt crystalizing in the freezer is like magic! wonderful to do.. but SWIM actually preffers to be smoking stuff extracted with the food grade chems..

I don't mind about food-grade chemicals so much, Although I love the idea I can't put up a decent enough argument for using 100% natural soaps and products in our house, especially when my partner doesn't like the smell of ecover detergent. (I love it, personally)

Standard A(HCL)/B(NaOH), freezer precip, recycle solvents. Everything gets turned into Changa.

-acidic soak/stir/heat (stirrer/hot plate)...usually phoshporic acid; pH 3
-combined, decanted, filtered, reduced
-based with calcium hydroxide; mhrb/lime mass dried completely and turned into fine powder
-pull with limonene (heated & stirred)
-salt with FASW, FASI or vinegar...(FASI the last few times; vinegar next time, to try the acetate boil off technique)
-base results with 2 parts calcium hydroxide; react, then dry completely
-pull with IPA or heptane

This next time will be something like this:

-vinegar or phos acid solution soak/stir/heat
-base with lime
-pull with limonene (heat & stir)
-salt with vinegar
-"heat off" acetates
-fuse freebase goo into caapi leaf, mullein & blue lily petals

2 pans 1 for reducing as I go one for bark simmering.

Lots of water with the bark with a couple of dashes of citric acid, followed by 2-3 days of boiling and reducing until no colour is being pulled from the bark

Fridge overnight, then filtered, then based with NaOH, then exausted with naphtha, then exausted with limonene/FASW to store as fumerate for adding to aya .

Naphtha pulls to be cooled very slowly for nice clear swords first time round 8)

Currently SWIM is working on polishing the following procedure:

1. CSLE with acidified 91% IPA. Later IPA is recycled.
2. Heptane defat. Heptane is recycled later.
3. Basification to ~11 with lye.
4. 3-4 heptane pulls with a sep funnel.
5. Reducing combined pulls in a distillator to ~1/5th of the starting volume.
6. Freeze-precip.
7. Re-x (most often not necessary).

So far, this is the most time/material/energy-efficient procedure of all that SWIM tried (STB, A/B, Panoramix). With 50g of mhrb it takes less than 8 hours before the solvent is freeze-precipping.
