When I grow up, I wanna be a psychonaut

What's going on everyone!
I am VERY excited to become a member of this forum. As a person who enjoys multiple sacred compounds, I like to join forums devoted to each one to research and learn. This is by far the nicest and most mature dmt forum I have found and I can't wait to get to know you all and start to learn and contribute!

Welcome, I'm also very new here and am very excited for the wealth of knowledge that is found here in this forum.

Warm welcome to both of you to the Nexus. I've been a long time lurker and just joined yesterday. Excited to learn from both of you and hopefully I can help you learn some as well. :)

Whats been your favorite way of ingesting dmt? Freebase? Ayahuasca and or orally?

Compound; I have only smoked it and I really like it that way, I would be interested in a brew though
Thanks D ray ;) I thought it was clever lol

Smoking it is my favorite way as well as of now. Just ordered a new VG though. So really excited for that. :)

Legit. I've been using a small chillum with some cannabis sandwiches. Can't wait until tuesday, as that's when my VG gets here. Imma have a nice breakthrough dose ready for the occasion, and I imagine it'll be something to write home about. :)

Welcome all new members! I've only been here at the Nexus since last fall but already feel very much at home. This is a great community and home to some of the most intelligent online conversation I've ever come across. As a longtime psychonaut- almost 25 years since my first big acid trip- this place is like an oasis.

There are a lot of threads about ingestion methodology etc, all of it very helpful... But don't forget the experience reports! IMO that's really some of the most exciting material.

Aiming for breakthroughs is great, but don't underestimate the power of sub-threshold doses as well. The trick is to pay attention, to write about it (or even better, make art!), to integrate it. These experiences make it easier for you to process and understand the big breakthroughs.

Good luck, see you around!

Thanks Guyomech. An oasis is definitely an awesome description for this place.

I like the idea about the sub threshold doses, I usually do these with a little bit more regularity then my breakthroughs, but don't give them the time they deserve for reporting and integration, etc. I'll definitely start recording these "smaller" trips with some more attention. :)

I'm actually learning to blow glass and I'm trying to come up with a sick new vape design that can be tricked out like a heady piece

Thanks for the warm welcome guyomech! I have been reading almost non stop for the past 2 days and haven't even scratched the surface here...I love it already lol

Welcome to the Nexus!

Do try the brews too, they are excellent for self exploration :)

Do not worry about 'exhausting' the nexus info, take your time.. Good places to start are the FAQ and health and safety section and wiki in general (even if youre experienced tripper). Ive been reading almost non stop for the past 5 years and there's still loads more info to read, lol :D

By the way, if youre considering doing a vaporization tool, I highly suggst you get inspiration (no pun intended)by the Inspirator MKII.. The idea is that you make a way to heat DMT by convection, not conduction.

Good luck!

So my main reason for using sacred compounds these days is to help reach enlightenment and tap into the higher energy. I have been recently been using psilicibyn mushrooms to spark creativity, tap into energy, and keep positive moods. I have been researching with close friends and spending more time with nature. I will be getting back into dmt within a month or so and I use that for obvious reasons; finding answers, meeting higher beings, and exploring other dimensions. I've been experimenting with these compounds for a while, almost 10 years with shrooms but only about a year with dmt. I plan on recording my exploration and research results around here for all to learn from and enjoy and I am very excited!

Welcome to the nexus Ultra. It cracked me up when I read your comment about our Introductions having the same title! I wonder if there's meaning in that, or it might just be coincidence. Researching gardens and extraction process' represent my current interests on the DMT-Nexus.

This advice is extremely sound. I am by no means a psychonaut; though I aspire to be one. I am a thinker and a feeler, and I plan on gingerly greeting DMT into my life, with plenty of titration and all the joy, fear, bliss, and uncertainty that comes with initiating a new entheogen into my life.

I originally posted this 4 years ago and I have done a lot of psychedelic work since then for sure! I don't usually post too much but I have been on here nearly every day since joining, it is an endless source of information.
