Here's the one I've got on.

Anybody have a favorite new year show? Maybe you were there and you've got a cool story? Or maybe like me you never saw a show but you're crazy about the band and so have a favorite?

2018 has been an incredible year in my life, and much of that had to do with lots of studying and learning here at the Nexus. Big grateful thank you to you all. Happy New Year!!!

Cow Palace, San Francisco (Daly City) 12/31/76

Freakin' incredible. i was really young. i remember it vividly. same year i saw the Sex Pistols last show at Winterland. what a year...

While i did see the show through a "windowpane", i've never forgotten it.

If anyone is interested, here's a link to the show on the Internet Archive - not a bad mix. check out the 1/2 speed version of "Bertha"!

Happy New Year everyone!

I'm sentimentality partial to the pre new years run at the Kaiser 86/87 since those were my first shows, but 87/88 was cool too. Crept up the hill and nocked on sidedoor of the coll and was let in by some head. Security chased me but only got the blanket i was wearing.

My mom taped the pay per vuew back home, and the back of my head appears in a couple shots, the camera was right behind me!

But for quality the 77/78 winterland is the shit. Only 77 China cat with Keith pounding out the intro and the bells leading into st Stephen....chills!

Hell yeah thank you guys!!! Lots of great listening for the first of the year. @ducdevil I like some of the slower versions of Bertha, also love a slow Friend of the Devil. @CatPharm yeah Nicky Hopkins is the man I love the Let It Rock recording. @null24, the Kaiser, dude are you from Eugene? I grew up my first 12 years in Portland then lived in Eugene for several years in my 20s. I saw the Shins at the Kaiser a few years back.
