Things are crazy this year, while the clime has been great fro chants and other edibles, we have not had cold nor wet enough weather for good fruiting of cyans in the valley until a day or two ago. Trees are still mostly green here in mid-Oct. But I did find some signs of life yesterday, these arte cyan pins.
Unfortunately though, I also discovered a spot where someone had raked mycelium and cut down a few dozen unopned pins the same size as the ones in this pic.
