Wow

Migrated topic.
Congratulations!

Glad to hear your enjoying your new view of the world.

Take in all the beauty of the world around you then relax and watch some hi def TV!

Good luck with them!!

I feel the same way!
Even though my eyesight wasn't too bad, it was weird being able to see such detail in things.
I hardly wear my glasses though they just don't feel normal to me.

I got glasses when I was 12. The leaves on the trees was the first thing that really stood out for me too. Seeing individual leaves instead of a green blob. Once I could see the world clearly no one was going to part me from my glasses. I'm still wearing them to this day and feel vulnerable, like my eyes are going to get poked out, without them. Oh yeah and I can't clearly past a foot in front of my head without them too.

Welcome to the world of the bright and clear. You wont turn back I'm sure.

Let's see, got glasses in 6th grade, that would make me... 12! Me too!

And leaves on trees were the first thing I noticed as well. Trees really are so very lovely, and each of them beautifully different. My bedroom window looks out on the most lush and healthy tree ever.

Depth perception! It's a little hard to get used to... I remember for awhile I kept stumbling over newly perceived topography that I hadn't learned to negotiate yet.

You're going to have a really cool few weeks discovering stuff.

Congrats!

I got my first pair of glasses when I was 21. I have had astigmatism since childhood, but unintentionally 'cheated' on vision tests with squinting.

I too, was amazed when I first got my glasses. When put them on, I turned to my (then) girlfriend (now spouse) and said, "Wow! I can see your pores!" Not the most romantic thing to say, lol.
