Wrong scale

So I ordered a Milligram scale from this hong kong site. 3 weeks later and to my excitement it has arrived. My excitement ended when I see a 0.01g printed on the scale. Now i will have to RMA it to hopefully receive the correct 0.001g scale which will probably take 2 months if I'm lucky.

Now I just finished my first extraction about a week ago with some good results. Have been testing the spice in very small doses, probably 10 to 20mg amounts as i do not want to overdo it. The deepest I have gone was strong body highs with minimal visuals and a good feeling for about an hour after the trip.

I would like to take breakthrough doses, 40 to 60mg, but I don't want to wait 2 months to maybe receive the mg scale. I tried measuring 50mg, but the 0.01g scale does not work well with such low weights.

Should I just try to eyeball it and hope for the best? I did buy these red mg scoops off ebay, maybe 3 or 4 scoops would do the job.

This is kinda a crude way to get the dosage but it's a step up from eyeballing. With the scale you got measure out 100 mg then divide the pile into 5 similar sized bumps... try and make each bump as close to similar as possible. So each bump will be approximately 20 mgs...combine two, two and a half, or three and you should have your breakthrough. :thumb_up: I've done this before and it hasn't failed me once...

You could also try already putting something else on it, and shoot for a .04 to .06 gram difference. Maybe that would make it more accurate.

Another way is to take a large known amount and dissolve it in a solvent, and then measure out the desired fraction of solvent and let it evaporate to yield you the dose you want.

My scale isn't good enough for measuring proper doses of DMT. So instead I went to a local smartshop and bought myself a little drug spoon. On one side it has a spoon and the other is flattened out to 'dig' around in the powder/crystals.

To me this is a great way to dose. I only need to count scoops in order to know how deal I'll be able to go. When I smoke from a basepipe it just takes 2 or 3 scoops. It costs like 2 euro, perhaps even less and it's relatively simple to work your way up.

Hm, I have a cheap .01 scale and it seems to be working excellent. If you can get it to point .01 or .02 that is. I do it with a small piece of paper, which already weighs like .24 - .30 so just adding the spice and calculating the difference works wonders for me. Doesn't yours register subtle .01 - .02 differences? If that's the case, try "resetting" your scale, the process should be described under the scale lid or on the back or something. If that still doesn't work, then you need to get a proper .001 scale.
