Yellow Oil = DMT-N-Oxide ?

Migrated topic.

I'm beginning to wonder if the yellow orange oil that many find so troublesome isn't a blessing in disguise. According to Dozuki at edot DMT n-oxide presents itself as a difficult to crystalize yellow oil. Given that mhrb prepped as anahuasca seems to offer up many more dosages than does extraction it can reasonably be assumed that their are other/more alkaloids present than are included on the scale when measuring the final yield of an extraction. I'm wondering if the yellow oil present in naptha extractions contains dmt-n-oxide?

How much age? My Antarctican friend has had a vial of clear in the snow for well over a year and no trace of color. He's also been playing around with evaps and as a rather lazy person, he's left some of them sitting around for a week or so and watched a lot of what he thought of as oil evaporate. It could be residual solvent, but considering how much the volume is decreasing, it would have to be enough for him to smell, which he can't.

[quote:c54a18ef20="sameoldsongam"]on the topic of anahuasca providing more doses: I think this would be due to the MAOI involved, which potentiates the dmt, meaning less dmt is needed for similar effects. Possibility?[/quote:c54a18ef20] That is a possibility. Personally, I think it's on account of incomplete extractions since folks report potent brews using small quantities of mimosa with rue as well as with vine . There is also the possibility that I'm getting an inaccurate picture of the truth since their are some very vocal folks making these reports who also seem very sensitive to these brews. From what I've read maoi's tend to allow the dmt safe passage to the receptor site but maoi's also compete with dmt once the sites are reached which basically means they do the reverse of potentiation [i:c54a18ef20]at the receptor site. [/i:c54a18ef20] Keep in mind I'm just parroting what I've read, I don't actually understand it :D .

some say it is and some ay it ain't.Someone just has to try it out to see for themselves I guess.I suspect it can be orally active at much higher doses that needed to make lets say an aya brew, and I suspect a lot of nausea and vomiting would occur as well.makes more sense to extract it and use an MAOI if you want to take it orally.Otherwise just smoke the freebase,or snort it for a longer trip duration.
