Zippo lighter fluid, is it ok to use?

I am interested in q21q21's tek... My question is, does anyone know for sure, if zippo lighter fluid is ok to use for the tek?
I googled if and some say it's ok and others say it's not. Please help!

Just pour out 5 or 10 ml on a shallow glass dish and let it evaporate. If there is no residue, AT ALL, then it should be safe to use. If you are unsure evaporate a much larger amount into a similarly sized dish.

For what it's worth, I seriously doubt that is pure naptha. Just go hit up a hardware store for some klean strip brand.

I've found the Klean Strip brand to be very clean also. Evap'd on a small mirror - after six hours there was no trace.
