1-3 propanediol (trimethylene glycol) instead of propylene glycol for DMT e-cig juice ?

Positively poetic :D as is the rest of your nicely-written account.

Glycerol feels warm in the mouth, perhaps it could be a mild chemoreceptor effect, since PDO is just glycerol minus the middle oxygen atom. And you did, of course, add VG to the mix as well.

I would say the lower relative acidity of PDO compared to PG is largely insignificant - but if it dissolves more DMT the solution naturally will be more basic.

Thanks for the thorough write-up, and I look forward to both the further updates and to PDO becoming more widely available.
Thank you very much for your - as usual - wise insights. So finally there is maybe only one major downside with the PDO, its poor market availability for the moment. My feeling is that this first attempt is very promising for a safe and efficient PG substitute. I'll definitely explore it deeper.

MCT oil is also useeble
MCT oils shouldn't be used for e-cig aerosolization, they don't have an established safety profile and are suspected to induce lipoid pneumonia when aerosolized. They are not miscible with glycols which makes them irrelevant for sub-ohm tanks use, these are intended for PG/VG base mix aerosolization. We do not promote poorly documented or high risk profile aerosol bases for e-cig use.

Since, I had further experiments and no particular heat feeling on throat or lungs. I definitely attribute this heat feeling I met during the first experiment to the weird effects of DMT itself 😁 This chapter is closed, at least until my guinea pigs aka friends show their snout and let me know what they think about it.

Some observations and personal reflections from these afternoon outdoor further experiments : I wasn't sure the first time but the taste of DMT in the aerosol definitely felt more intense (compared to similar ratio juices with PG). Just and observation, not a problem at all. It seems in coherence with the claims of the manufacturer that the PDO carries (some) aromas better.
I also had the feeling (which I needed to confirm after the first experience) that the effects rise faster with the PDO.
Both of these observations are completely subjective of course, so they should be taken with a grain of salt or at least be confirmed by longer practice.
Before I started these new experiments, I noticed a few juice has leaked in the bottom cap of the tank. Since the first experiment it was stored vertically in a small box away from light and airflow ring closed. Not a very surprizing fact, most of the subohm tanks tend to do it, especially with less viscous juices (PDO is less viscous than PG). I easily retrieved the few leaked juice with a syringe and put in back in the tank. Case closed. Always use top airflow tank, it's mandatory if you don't want to lose juice definitely.
I also quickly took the opportunity to try another coil with a different Ω value. I used the 0.4Ω set at 22 watts. Nothing in particular to report: gentle, effective and tasty aerosol, as with the 0.3Ω.

To be continued...
