Yeah just plant many mimosa trees and in a decade you should be a happy man :D

Desmanthus should be explored, yes. Also trying some phalaris grass like arundinacea, aquatica and brachystachys which seem to be options regarding dmt (though some of them may have gramine so one would have to later be careful and analyze the alkaloid contents and/or do a few purification steps to make sure gramine is out)
 
Imagine tripping in a mimosa farm. :d You have extreme patience if you're willing to wait ten years, I wouldn't be able to wait one month for mimosa trees to grow which is why I'm not the kind of person who grows mimosa trees. :lol:
 
Well i figure i can just buy it for ten years until it harvest able. or just a couple years on a faster growing plant then i can use that until the mh is done
 
Yeah, when you plant a tree you arent really thinking of harvesting it now... for that maybe grasses are faster to experiment with. Mimosa is a long term investment. I suggest anybody who has a piece of land to plant things, whether it is ethnobotanicals or fruits/edibles. The relationship one grows with life is really special.

It is an amazing feeling to consume something you have grown yourself, and its never too late to start growing. Like that saying goes "The best time to have planted a tree was ten years ago. Second best time is now" :)
 
haha i agree, the time is now. Id love to know some grasses people have had high yeilds from.

This is such a cool project to have! You should definitly have a cactus patch with some achumas, san pedros and peruvian torchs amongst others. Maybe hook up a coy pond with some water lilys or something too? Anyhow keep us updated
 
what area are you in, i am working on all the same goals as you though my program is decentralized so im always looking for new communities to spread my cilluim roots to, if you are in the PNW i can come visit and help you get that land goin, also my friend was talking to me about how they use mimosa roots for grafting sandlwood for commercial growth but we were thinking one could graft another dmt containing plant to those roots, and even better one that is cold hardy, then you have a pnw hardy plant with spicy roots and shoots! how bout that...i gotta find out what that other plant he mentioned was...maybe it was one of the many acacias
 
If you recieve rare frosts/freezing temps, try putting some good mulch on the ground around your plants. Mulch insulates the dirt and keeps your plant's roots warmer. If your summers are particularly hot you may want to remove the mulch when the temps become more stable.

wow :) that is great. In ten years from now, hopefully a little less, SWIM sees my self in you're shoes trying to decide what psychedelic plants to grow on my farm.
I think you should grow some caapi as well. I dont know about you, but SWIM would use caapi daily to smoke, as a tea, or when he wants to learn. :)
 
Wow, that's realy nice, it's a dream come true. I should grow some MHRB, Caapi, Viridis, Peyotes. San pedro's, Datura's. Where do you live? I guess some Hemp is out of the question. Keep us updating!
