1st trip report. evaluations/tips very welcome

i loaded about 33 milligrams into a weed pipe (we had 100 milligrams and split it up three ways). holding the flame close to the DMT i vaporized/melted half of it and held the hit as long as i could. half way into holding this deep breathe i could start to feel a tingling sensation rise up through my body, accompanied with a sense of impending euphoria. i vaporized the second half holding the flame close to the powder and held the second hit. after giving my buddy a confirming nod and smile, he turned off the lights and left the room.

i started my trip sitting up-right. neon green lines outlining shapes began to fill my vision, reminding me of Tron. still feeling lucid, i consciously decided to lay down and relax deeper into my trip.

a kaleidoscope of small geometric patterns began to surround me, mostly reds. i was swept up into the flow, almost swimming in it. i was still aware that i was in the room, but could also seeing this vortex of geometry and energy all around me. i don't know if my eyes were opened or closed.

i could see the source of this energy and although it didn't resemble a human or animal, i thought it looked like a jester.

from there, i eased out of the trip and the visuals left me. i stood and walked to the door, my balance slightly off. i turned and returned to the bed, hoping that the trip would return but of course it did not.

i went downstairs to report what i experienced. a heightened sense of euphoria stuck with me for another 10 minutes or so.

sounds like you had a nice introduction to the Spice, lots of people seem to get jestery type entities, i met one at a BBQ once.

what method/instrument were you using to vapourise your DMT?
did you extract it yourself?

I, too, have felt an urge to get up after most of the intensity of a trip has passed. Sometimes with the same hope that returning to where I was will rejuvenate the experience.

What I have discovered is that resisting these urges can greatly prolong and enhance the afterglow of euphoria (or at the very least make it seem to last longer). My interpretation is that changing your surroundings during the afterglow period can tend to cloud over details from the trip as your brain refills your short-term memory banks with the new sensory input. Without this additional input, I can focus on and recall elements of the trip much more readily.

For me, the longer my sensory input stays static after a trip, the more I am able to draw from the experience emotionally as well. Even after sub-breakthrough doses, I have laid in my bed during the afterglow period for what seems like hours but is in all actuality a mere 20 minutes or so. Every time I have not followed this routine and ventured elsewhere, the afterglow takes on a very distracted, apprehensive nature and I will find myself focusing more on what goes bump in the dark rather than what goes bump in my thoughts. When I follow the routine, once I am ready to venture about, my surroundings are much more surreal and welcoming.

what method/instrument were you using to vapourise your DMT?
did you extract it yourself?

i placed the DMT on top of a normal pipe that still had a little ash in it. i held the lighter close to, but not touching the dmt (as i have read on these forums).

i did not extract it myself. friend of a friend sort of thing.

How many pulls did you do?

I did 2 pulls ,got almost a gram so I didn't do anymore Pulls.I figure there can't be much left in mixture since I got such a high yield.so I put the mix up and will try in the future.

as for extraction, the huge number of teks and threads that talk about this leaves me a little overwhelmed. I think I'm leaning toward trying the lazyman's tek? (I'm no walter white)

@ 3rdI hahaha that made my day and youre right that aint no bull mess

@ kirby its easy to get overwhelmed but i think this is due mainly to all the differentiations among what is essentially the same process. 3rdI is right there is something to be said about the sense of pride and reward that comes from "making" your own

if i could offer any advice it would be to study the teks, look for patterns and similarities and it wont seem so intimidating after that... its actually really simple if you are capable or step by step instructions and have any kind of methodical patience
