hey

1) i poured out the zippo naphta 4-5 hours ago,i powdered the spice,it pretty dry but it still has a bit smell of a naphta

is it dangerous ? also some of the spice is white sand while some parts are yellow and not like sand,they like sticky glue
why there is a difference ?

2) i am holding the second pour of the mimosa+lye in a enamel pan(for 4 days ) ,is it ok ? tomorrow i will filter and will wash it ..

With all my extractions I have always used a Sodium carbonate wash (as described in Vovin's Tek) and afterwards always done a recrystallization, that way I do believe what I get is as close to pure fluffy white crystals you can get without a proffessional laboratory =) Hope this helps!
