5-meo and bufotenine ?

Hey yall how goes it? hope everyone is enjoying there week thus far. I had a few questions i hope could be clarified from some you fine folk here in the nexus. I have been reading up on 5-meo, and bufotenine (both from the Bufo alvarius toad and colubrina seeds) and have just ordered the books "the toad & the jaguar" and "tryptamine palace" but some of the research ive been doing thus far seems contradictory (some saying bufotenine is very visual others saying its not) of its self or simply put..confusing..

So from my understanding and after a video ive watched and some reading. the Bufo Alvarius toad venom contains both bufotenine and 5meo.. but that when it is smoked (or commbusted) it turns into or only activates the 5meo? is this true? would this also be true if you were to run a bufotenine extraction from colubrina seeds? or is this something that only pertains to the toad? (if it is even true at all).

im pretty curious to try both but still am doing research of course. any info/input/experience are greatly appreciated!

If there was bufotenine mixed with the 5-MeO-DMT in the alvarius sample, then when you smoke you'd have the effects from both. Bufotenine does not turn into 5-MeO-DMT when smoking as has been erroneously said before (though when consuming orally with a MAOI, 5-MeO-DMT may partially turn into bufotenine in the body).

I've tested one alvarius resin sample and it contained only 5-MeO-DMT, no bufotenine. Not sure how much it varies.

Bufotenine appears in a bunch of other Bufo toads, while I think alvarius is the only one so far that has shown 5-MeO-DMT.

As for colubrina seeds, they seem to mostly have bufotenine yes.
