Rising Star
Hello, I joined 5 years ago in search of the meaning of life and understanding the afterlife. My search began about 15 years ago after a near death experience and recovery in a hospital. Eventually my search for understanding lead to Rick Strassman and his research of NDEs and DMT. Shortly after joining the nexus I had my first breakthrough. After a few trips I eventually came to the conclusion I needed to fully embrace my personal life due to how little time we have in this dimension and I believe exist here to experience this life.

Has anyone else had a breakthrough that made them walk away from psychedelics?

I'm not sure why I waited 5 years to come back here. I wanted a decent amount of time to reflect on my breakthroughs and see how they would shape my life. I'm also just curious what you guys have to say. Plus I'm always looking for new information. Ive been lurking the forums and reading about others experiences. Like the guy who saw 4 years into the future. That was a good one. Ive had similar glimpses into my future as well. Visions like that make me wonder if we have free will at all or are we in a simulation with every point already predetermined? What do you guys think?

Ill continue browsing but I'm always looking for good info on the afterlife, reincarnation, and the meaning of life whether it be in this dimension or not.

There was very good thread with some heated arguments for both scripted/unscripted theories. I suggest searching for "simulation" "scripted" keywords.

The concept of karma is one answer to this and it can be interpreted in various ways. At some point I was interested in tarot readings and I believe it's quite possible to see your current trajectory in life. I don't believe however that the future is set in stone. Purifying one's karma and the ingrained attitudes and emotions that make us suffer is hard work, but I believe it's possible and worth the trouble. I like to think that there is a spark of Creator in all of us that gives us the freedom to make a difference in the world and in our own lives.
