60 Second Launch Window for Spice? Validity?

"The dosage for N,N-DMT is about 40 mg. Smaller amounts will produce some perceptual changes but will not bring one to the unique dimensions normally reached on DMT. The entire dose of DMT needs to be consumed in a short amount of time. If one doesn't get enough within the first 60 seconds they won't get much higher by smoking more."

Any comments about the 60 second limit? Not to sure this is entirely true!

Agree and disagree... Agree that its effective to smoke in short amount of time but disagree with how the sentence implies some kind of tolerance is being created.

Lets say just to put some numbers, that you need 30mg to breakthrough if you inhale all in one or two hits... Now if you smoke 5mg, wait a few minutes, smoke another 5, until you eventually smoke the 30mg over half an hour, of course its much weaker than all at once.. But if you smoke 5mg, then after a few mins another 5, and then you smoke 30 at once, most likely you will break through, the other small amounts you smoked before wont have created tolerance.

In fact I did this often, the first launch is actually a smaller one , to 'remember' how it goes and feels, and then after a couple of minutes I go for the full thing, and then my body and mind are more at ease.

Based on my experience I would say this claim is false. Unless you try smoking the same amount as Endlessness suggested the meaning of the statement may have been... I do have some tolerance questions which I plan to post later though.

Personally I've smoked several small doses a few minutes apart in a row, then a larger dose, then smaller doses, etc... The effect has (as far as I can tell) proportional to the dose. I don't measure dose precisely, but after several minutes a similar dose has similar effects...

This may be bad advice, but in my book; if you didn't feel it the first time, do more. Only follow this advice if you're sure of your source though... As in made it yourself.

I've tried smoking at just about every interval you can, and there's really no tolerance. As endless said, it is effective to try and get it all in as quick a time as possible, however there have been times where I've closed my eyes, the trip has started, but telling it would be disappointing, open my eyes shortly into the experience, take an extra rip and go back in. I usually don't wind up in the same place, but you can definitely tell more DMT has been taken. One time I did this, when I closed my eyes for the second time, it was like falling into a net of entities that just wanted to love me.

It’s not a question of tolerance, as some are suggesting, but rather a question of metabolism, as endlessness suggested. He used an extreme example, but similar results can happen with even shorter time intervals.

In my early days of using DMT, I experimented with many different devices and methods, and some devices only allowed me to get small amounts of diluted vapor in each inhalation. My worst trial took eight hits to get a full dose! Let’s say the dose was about 24mg – that means each hit was about 3mg. I don’t remember the exact timing, but let’s say I inhaled for 10 seconds, then held it for another 10, then exhaled and took another breath for 5. Based on that experience, I’d say that 3mg of DMT is almost fully metabolized within that 25 seconds. There are some slight perceptual changes, but nothing close to a breakthrough. My guess is that one could take closely-spaced micro-doses like that indefinitely without experiencing any significant effects.

Anyhow, getting a dose in as quickly as possible makes a breakthrough more likely. A full dose in a single rapid inhalation can produce a breakthrough that is qualitatively different than a breakthrough achieved in two or more hits.

no way is this true i had my biggest brakethrough wile me and my best friend launched together and after my second hit tthe lighter died and i was yelling at my friend QUICK GIVE ME UR LIGHTER and as he launched i grabed it ( at lest 45 seconds of waiting ) and took 2 more pulls and had a experience so profound i came back crying hysterically cause of how beautiful it was
