I thought a 3D printer could be nice to built the perfect suitable cork.Yes, but at the very least, the jar or the bag should be vacuum-sealed otherwise the oxygen that is in would oxidize the juice. Of course, your proposition could be combined with mine or can be an alternative possibility for someone who doesn't have cellophane or a suitable cork but it wouldn't be a convenient method for someone like me always switching tanks and mods both for DMT and nicotine, because I'd have to vacuum-seal the bag or jar again each time I want to use the mod on which the DMT tank is.one could store the entire vape in a sealed container too like a ziplock baggy or a large jar
Also @The Sofa Traveler so 1g DMT per 2ml of juice is a standard ratio, should we double this ratio to 2g DMT per 2ml? or more than that? Im new to vaping so I want to learn tips/tricks & to get dosing down
Something probably went wrong because 15w with a 0.15Ω coil is very low power wise. Such coil should work fine in the 25-30 watts range. Leaking shouldn't happen neither except in very isolated cases. Tank shouldn't get so hot, especially at 15w.I tried to vape deems with Legend 5 + Fli 2 tank, 0.15ohm, at 15Watts , only could find 5ml tank. EU vape suppliers seem to only ship TPD-compliant 2ml tank locally, not internationally, so after filling the 5ml tank with e-liquid, it was so harsh, the atomizer got so hot, perhaps due leaking under the base, how do you handle the harshness, and the leaking? Would using fumarate or other salts mitigate the harshness or should I stick to freebase?
Going above 15W made the vapor super harsh It made me cough immediately after 1 second toke so I stayed at 15W."Something probably went wrong because 15w with a 0.15Ω coil is very low power wise. Indeed the bottom cap was full of juice, causing a short circuit which in turn was causing overheating, don't know why this happens even on my Zeus subohm tank 2021 model that originally came with my Legend 5 which I use for nicotine salts."Maybe there was a short-circuit due to juice leaking in the bottom cap."
It was brand new, freshly unboxed and never ever used for anything before, I bought it specifically to try DMT e-juice."Maybe the coil or the tank was defective.
Maybe coil was not well inserted.
Maybe an O-ring from the tank or the coil is missing."
I used 4ml juice, left it to soak for 10 mins, not 30/60 mins."Which amount of juice did you have ? Wick of the coil might not be soaked enough if you used very low amount of juice in a 5ml tank. Also, at very first use you should always let the wick soak for 30/60mn before first use to ensure wick is properly soaked."
I'm afraid of citrate decomposing to toxic compounds, and the citric acid attacking the metals in the tank, but I will try it with low-wattage to see if it will smooth things out hopefully! Have you tried Acetate, Fumarate, Benzoate, Malate and other salts or is Citrate simply the go-to salt for some reason?"If you want to use a salt form of DMT, use DMT citrate, don't use fumarate."
Unfortunately I'm not in EU, so I can't get TPD-compliant 2ml tanks and will have to use 5ml tanks for now."If you're in EU maybe you can get your hands on the BD Vape Precisio Sub-ohm Blaster Edition V1, it is provided with 2ml straight glass as well as 4.5ml bulb glass. Definitely my fav sub-ohm tank. I use it for deemz as well as daily for nicotine and never encountered any problem of leaks, harshness or whatever. The build quality is a cut above."
I don't know why it went wrong but your problem probably comes from there. There was a time when Zeus tanks, especially Z Series coils, were reported having poor QC (I experienced it once as mentioned above). I don't know if it's still the case nowadays. I don't use anymore my Zeus Sub-ohm neither my Z Max, never enjoyed them much. Less reliable knock-off material (coils as well as tanks) is also on the market, check authenticity.Indeed the bottom cap was full of juice, causing a short circuit which in turn was causing overheating, don't know why this happens even on my Zeus subohm tank 2021 model that originally came with my Legend 5 which I use for nicotine salts.
That's a little short in time but your tank was quite well filled so I don't think the problem is here. What was your juice ratio ? Did you use straight PG or PG/VG mix ?I used 4ml juice, left it to soak for 10 mins, not 30/60 mins.
That's legit concern. I've used the citrate but over time I didn't find it reliable and it was quite sensitive to overheating compared to freebase. Freebase is not harsh when used in adequate temp range. Iirc, citrate was the favored salt because it's the one with the least toxic compounds decomposing profile. If your tank is overheating for some reason, harshness would be even worse with a citrate juice.I'm afraid of citrate decomposing to toxic compounds, and the citric acid attacking the metals in the tank, but I will try it with low-wattage to see if it will smooth things out hopefully! 1:4, I used 2ml PG, 2ml VG, with 1g DMTWhat was your juice ratio ? Did you use straight PG or PG/VG mix ?
I'm thinking of getting an RDA tank, I read they're less prone to leaking, not sure which brand I should get as I've just started to explore vaping nicotine (and DMT) about a week ago. As for the country, I'd rather say it in a PM/DM instead, but it's an African "French protectorate" lolUltimately, I'd advise to get your hands on another tank model/brand if you can. There is a tank list in the initial post from this thread. If you have in mind a model that is not in the list and are unsure let me know. Which country are you in ? (if you don't mind to answer of course)

I noticed the gurgling which might spit some lips-numbing ejuice at low watts too, but at higher wattages, specifically 20W seems to remedy that, also angle-vaping indeed won't let the cotton absorb properlyI think you guys covered everything and more than I could.
I’ve mostly given my new coils a 20+ minute soak before trying to Fire the vape and always been fine. I do notice that that if the vape is held at an angle and it uncovered the juice holes that feed the coil it can give a dry hit of burnt cotton. 30-35watt is where I’m running them at 20-25watt was too much gurgling and not enough vapour.
So straight PG if I understand well. Sub-ohm tanks are not very optimal with 100% PG, some VG could have been added to the mix. A 1g/4ml or 1g/3ml juice ratio can easily handle 50PG/50VG without re-crystallization. I think 20-30% VG should be minimal amount for such juice in a sub-ohm tank with a 0.15 coil. 100% PG juices are usually used with carts.1:4, I used 2ml PG, 2ml, with 1g DMT
That's another option but it's less straightforward, you might experience hits & misses to build the coil with the proper cotton amount before achieving conclusive results. Especially if you're an absolute beginner in vape world (if you are). But once all is well mounted and set it works pretty fine indeed.I'm thinking of getting an RDA tank, I read they're less prone to leaking, not sure which brand I should get as I've just started to explore vaping nicotine (and DMT) about a week ago. Sorry I made a typing mistake, it's 2ml PG + 2ml VGSo straight PG if I understand well. Sub-ohm tanks are not very optimal with 100% PG, some VG could have been added to the mix. That's also what the vape shop told me about RDAs, gotta expect hits & misses, so I opted for regular non-rebuildable Fli 2 tank instead. That's another option but it's less straightforward, you might experience hits & misses to build the coil with the proper cotton amount before achieving conclusive results. This should defo be fine with a sub-ohm tank then.Sorry I made a typing mistake, it's 2ml PG + 2ml VG
Try to check all aspects of the tank and coil as aforementioned. Maybe ask the shop where you bought it some help. Ask if there are other models than the Zeus Sub-ohm, like the Zeus Nano if they only have Geekvape stuff. I've had pretty great results with the Z Nano without problems. The B Series 0.2 coil should be fine with the juice you already made. Also, if you have full access to French e-cig market, the BD Vape Precisio Sub-ohm Blaster Edition should be easy to grab. That's also what the vape shop told me about RDAs, gotta expect hits & misses, so I opted for regular non-rebuildable Fli 2 tank instead.
I load up the Youcan Orbit with about 20Mg take 2 hits and I am off. Good visuals and experience. What can I do to the Zeus to trip? Would getting the 0.3 ohm coil do it?
