A/B Defat during acide phase, taking days to transfer fat into Naphta

SWIM is new to extracting DMT. he tried Lasyman tek once, and now I try Acid to base.

he did the defatting with Naphta during the acid phase. added Naphta to the soup, nothing happened. He couldn't see any fat transfer into the Naphta, He decided to bring it to double boil, and check it vigorously for a few minutes each time, he did this for 3 days before I could see the Naphta becoming yellow.

My question : is it normal for defat to take so long extracting fat from the soup? What are the risk in heating the soup while defatting?

What plant are you extracting from? ( no need to be coy here, by the way, SWIMming is pointless ) MHRB has negligible plant fats so the defat step is unnecessary in that case.

I've never tried defatting so can't speak as to what you should observe when doing it, but are you sure you are meant to see anything obvious?

Boiling won't harm DMT salts however, so you're ok there.

What tek do you use?
I am very beginner and the first extraction I did was a month ago, lasyman’s tek. From 100gr of MHRB, I managed to extract 0.8g of DMT, the first pull it was white crystals and the other pulls were from light yellow to dark yellow. I am very far away from 1.5% of extraction, I am extracting just half. I couldn’t managed to extract more than 0.8g

I am using MHRB, and sometimes I put the heat a bit too high, and I double boil for days. When I do this, I have a lot of Gooy stuff in the DMT. I may just double boil in lower temperature then.
