A Guide to DMT Enhanced Leaf (Changa)

Migrated topic.

Hey, what is that heavy body load/heat feeling one gets from a Caapi leaf changa? Almost like a sparkling heat.
swim has the same thing each time he smokes caapi leaf changa..strange..

FOAF suggests mixing yellow caapi leaves (no stems) with calea, sacred blue lilly and a smallest pinch of menthol xtals to smooth the taste..
proportion is 2:3 (spice:herbs)
blows away, to the edge of a universe

Well, I took the plunge and made some Changa with Caapi leaf.

I took about 5 grams of Caapi, made it into a tea, strained, dried, and then added that to 1 gram of Caapi leaf and 1 gram of spice, so almost a 1:1.

80mgs of this was put into my friends water bong and all was consumed in 2 hits, most of it on the first hit.

I was expecting a mild adventure into hyperspace with only 40mgs of spice.... I was apparently wrong. It took me deep, quite deep in fact, but did not increase the duration. The after effects lasted almost an hour though, and the afterglow from it feels very Aya like. The visuals were not much different than normal spice though. It was not quite like MAO inhibited voyaging...no warm enveloping blankets of love, no overwhelming euphoria, but it was very nice.

Surprisingly, the enhanced leaf was some of the smoothest I have smoked. It was quite nice in fact, and I have to say I enjoy it more than blue lotus.

3 other seekers enjoyed the changa as well, all noting some subtle qualities they have not observed before with pure spice.

Thank you for making me interested in this....

hmmmmm SWIM got a taste of changa also, its wonderful!

He infused some mint and passiflora with his last few doses of dmt, vaporized in the genie after some sublingual harmalas and had amazing breakthroughs.. Now he's waiting for the final evap to see results of a limonene/acetate-freebase/iso extraction, and then make some different natural full range changas with and without harmalas and experiment some more :D

Caapi changa is awesome. So much easier to use than straight crystals also.

I can only use it in the summer though as I have to smoke outside, then for the winter it's all crystals. Definately going to have some more concerntrated harmalas in my next batch :)

Is there a reason you cant use naptha or heptane to make it? or would that actually be ok?

Also, if throwing some harmalas into the mix.... what should be the ratio?

I used heptane, took all of 45 minutes to make and completely dry out, though I mixed everything up and let it dry overnight, it was crunchy all over within 45 minutes.

Caapi changa is pretty neat. I was surprised that such a small amount of Caapi could change the experience. One of the main things that I noted is that the afterglow lasts a lot longer and is a bit stronger.

I would do a 1:1:0.5 ratio of Caapi:DMT:Harmala's

So it would be 1 gram Caapi: 1 gram DMT: 500mgs of somewhat pure harmala alkaloids. At least that's my suggestion.

So for a 50mg DMT dose you would need 125mgs of this enhance leaf...it would contain, 50mg Caapi, 50mg Spice, 25mgs harmala alkaloids, which is pleanty if smoked.

acolon, glad you finally got around to it! as far as duration was concenred...sounds like you just had the one bong hit? if so consider smoking it then taking successive hits. this is where changa really really shines... and is very different then spice alone in that, you can keep the journey going for hours. Swim likens it to surfing a wave at some point you have to kick the board up to stay at the crest of the wave so you can ride it all the way out.if you dont and you just take one hit you get pushed by the wave riding it to the beach and your done... but if you stay on the crest by kicking it up ie taking more hits you stay on the crest and ride the wave out, staying on the crest until you feel you need to get off. In this respect taking more hits and allowing the changa to keep going is where it is really really special, its some thing you cannot do with spice.

What does the iboga leaf add?

The leaves contain iboga alkaloids. I would assume they would be more mild and of a different profile to the root material.

She's in the garden so she joins the mix. She sure lays her touch as when added to the mix there is an other quality that can be felt for some time afterwards.

This plant is difficult to source and grow in many places in the world, so gaining access to leaf material may be difficult. If you are lucky enough to grow this plant be sure to learn her secrets in the changa realm.

Root Bark should work too .
I think you are the first person to experiment with this, rahlii , thanks for posting .
I believe that The Iboga plant can synergize with DMT for definite potentiation effect in Changa ...
