Well folks, i come oyu to with a genuine desire for any advice regarding my plans to grow some Phalaris Aquatis var. Austriallian. My plan is to sow at least 20 plants in very poor soil, mix the soil with about 50 grams of L-Tryptophan, and feed the plants a nutrient that is more nitrogen than anything else. As soon as each plant gorws its first leaf, I intend to pick it and cute the stem slightly. I want to repeat until I have about 100 grams of P. Aquatis leaf. At that point I hope to find someone who is handy with chromatography I could send the leaves to. After information regarding whether or not mixing the soil with l-tryptophan and giving the plants mostly nitrogen really does cause production of more tryptamines, specifically spice, I want to give it to internet, because the more information people have about phalaris, the more likely it is people will more often be enlightened by it than get hurt by it.
Im also concerned about the gramine levels in phalaris, and if after experiments, I can come to the conclusion that gramine can be made to only grow in trace amounts, i'll feel alot more comfortable dealing with this plant.
I do plan to invest my time reading older posts and see what knowledge the forums have created, but please any advice regarding methods of stressing the plant or ratios of nutrient or any other advice regarding growing and yiedling p. aquatis would be greatly appreciated.
