Wait....how does one execute a double blind test with fasting?

For mesc and lsd, I do agree though. I find extensive fasting to be counterproductive, but going into the experience with an empty stomach seems beneficial.

As mentioned, aya is completely different.
 
Apologies Phlux didn't take in the exception to aya on the first read of your post. And I'm sure you're on to something, but I feel this may be a subjective view that doesn't work for all. For some fasting seems to be a powerful spiritual tool, for others it leaves them feeling hungry, irritable and/or weak, and so is not likely the best mental/physical platform to launch into a powerful psychedelic experience.
