Abusing Spice

I really feel that I am ready for the journey - however, I'm a bit concerned that I will have an amazing experience and want to continually/habitually do it. Is this a bad thing? In your experience, is this likely? It seems like many trips are so intense that you just have to meditate over them and figure them out before you're even ready to journey again.

I wouldn't worry too much about addiction. My journeys were generally glorious, especially the last one, but I am in no hurry to launch off again. The intensity, as amazing as it may be, just scares me. I'm fine with thinking things over for a little bit, reading up here, breathing a bit. Hyperspace isn't going anywhere :)

For most who use it (myself included), DMT really seems to contain some kind of self-regulating mechanism. I have about as addictive a nature as anyone I know, but this stuff is just so beyond the beyond (and beyond and beyond and beyond), that I'm forced to adopt an uncharacteristic attitude of moderation.

A lot of us first discover this thing and then want to push the limits - and extracting your own means you'll always have an inexhaustible supply if you want it. But for most (and this has been my experience), there's just no way to sustain an aggressive approach for very long. It will let you know in NO SUBTLE WAY when you're starting to cross the line.

Then there's always the very distinct possibility that you'll break through once and be done with it. If you go deep enough, once will give you enough to chew on for a very long time, believe me. DMT is nothing like any other drug you've ever encountered.

Totally agree with Art and Mr_Dmt, but summing up... If she fells u r abusing or you can´t get in or you get an ass woop that you will have no will at all to go and dive in anytime soon ;) So relax and enjoy. When you hit it 3 or 4 times you´ll see what we r talking about :D
Peace

i couldn't agree more and i can speak from direct experience. i went a bit overboard after my first breakthrough. id go as far to say i got obsessed with the spice. breaking through is life changing and its hard to predict the changes it can create in you. i was over using dmt 4-5 nights a week multiple sessions each night and breaking through became rarer and rarer harder and harder. the trips became either ho-hum or on the dark side. finally the spice gave a a few good warnings which fell on deaf ears of mine and thats when she really gave me the business. worst trip of my life. its been over 6 months and im just now getting ready to start to work with her again. SLOWLY!

i think the fact that your actually concerned is a very good indicator that your will be just fine.

i wish i had known about the nexus in my early days of dmt work. this kind of information is invaluable. read as much as you can.

I've been researching for a long time and spent the last several weeks reading through the nexus and other sites - I want to be ready.
This information definitely helps. I love this community.
I do remember someone's report saying a spirit told them "Do not abuse me like other drugs" - I suppose that's as straightforward as it gets - I guess we'll see what happens during my first real time in.
I think in the next day or two I'll take the adventure.

One can try and abuse it, but you will most liekly be shown the raw power of DMT.

After one of "those" experiences, I have no need to go back for a few weeks.

one guy heard of a person who smoked so often that that person started serriously affecting thier health in a big way. like coughing CONSTANTLY kinda way, the way someone with whooping cough does it kind of cough..and were STILL smoking it!!
One heard that a carring friend took away all the spice available so this peson couldn't use this wonderfull medicine to kill themselves anymore..supposedly this person had introduced the abuser to the spice and felt responsible in a way, not to mention pissed off that they would abuse something so undeniably sacred to the point of hurting themselves!!
So to respond to your post, one has seen that a person can actually abuse spice like it was something as base as crack cocaine, but, I personally imagine that person would have to be in a very strange and mabey bad place in thier own mind to be ABLE to abuse spice in that way at all.
takes all kinds I guess, anyone else know of somone who has done this kind of abuse of the sacred?:?:

I haven't heard of anyone doing it that regularly - it seems like that wouldn't be a good idea, what so ever.

I dont even understand how people can abuse DMT..I can understand people sitting down and smoking daily as part of some spiritual practice..but not abusing it..god that would be insane!..DMT just blows me away.. I have this obcessive need to talk to it and sit attentivly and breath and centre myself and have all these crystals and other things there with me before I can think of smoking.

Many people, myself included, go through a "honeymoon phase" when they initially encounter spice. This means that they like to launch frequently for a period of time. Afterward they develop a respectful how/when-relationship with the spice that fits their intentions and lifestyle.

When I was where you are now, researching before launching, I read that the honeymoon generally lasts around a year. It's an extremely odd period of time but I found it more rewarding than strange. Search the forum for "honeymoon" etc and read around to get more details.

gibran2 wrote in another thread that low doses of changa seemed to offer a higher abuse potential and I would agree. Even a solid sub-breakthrough is very satisfying by comparison and a breakthrough is satisfaction.

Remember to smile as you forget that no one can be ready for dmt.
