Sweet Dreams, do the phyllodes of your plant have a basal gland? floribunda is absent of a basal gland.. i still think you have a different tree .. the flowers aren't as fluffy as those of floribunda and from what i can tell in the image the phyllodes don't look very papery (although some forms of floribunda have somewhat more leathery phyllodes). have you measured their length? could you describe the texture of the phyllodes?

floribunda gets its name because the flowers occur in abundance together.. the flowers on your tree seem too sparsely arranged to be floribunda

below a typical floribunda

Hey guys, I've been lurking a while but this is my first post! I have a few of these in my yard, and I'm pretty sure they're some type of Acacia, any help would be appreciated!

only nature, your tree in the above post is Acacia Baileyana

Thanks mate ! Not worthy of extraction i take at 0.02%

i would say its worthy of experimentation.. not if your looking for high tryptamine yields, but it is a tree with very little research done and you might be able to find alkaloids in there at certain times of year..

I would not know where to even start, i guess ill have to look at extraction methods. I know this is not the right place to talk about extraction but if you could point me in the right direction of how to test the tree that would be great. Even if you throw me a PM i would be ever so grateful

Tryptamines found at one time of year THH another. Its in the improving acacia info thread for you to read.
As for extraction try cybs ATB (acid to base) with a freeze thaw beforehand (for targetting tryptamines)
Or maybe gibrans tek for THH and harmala alkaloids.
Big emphasis is put on research especially when it comes to wild species so you have a greater appreciation of what you are engaging with. It will open your eyes.

@UncleDemon - sorry, that's not an Acacia.

People can get confused when they see bi-pinnate leaves and seed pods, but you can clearly see from the flowers it's not an acacia.

There's a post further back you can refer to on how to ID an acacia using the 3 main properties (leaves/flowers/pods)

it does appear to be yeah..

Seems to have a more curved phyllodes than most images online. Has me thinking this might be a Obtusifolia dominate X with Maidenii.

Oh and that tree I thought was A.Floribunda yielded next 2 nothing.

very interesting specimen.. i take back my diagnosis of obtusifolia.. thinking it may be something else. what was the texture of the trunk like? you may be onto something regarding possible maidenii genes
