Advice on pain management.

Esteemed member
I've just had a wisdom tooth out (intelligent design), and a piece of my jaw came out with it. Anaesthetic is wearing off and it is beginning to hurt.
Anyone have any advice on good techniques/substances that will help?

What do you mean a piece of your jaw came out with it? Like, the surgeon had to remove a piece of your jaw to successfully remove the tooth? Or did the piece come out after the surgery?
I had it done under local, by a dentist. It was difficult to get out, and a small piece of my jaw bone came away with the tooth.

Avoid nicotine always when the body is trying to physically heal something ~

Day 2 & 3 worst swelling, sutures closed day 4ish

Sleep head elevated if possible

Maybe drink an indica edible before sleep lol sleep can be difficult first few days

Consider fasting during these first few days to enhance healing at night and reduce inflammation & infection risk.

Are you sure doc didn’t say acetaminophen? Ibuprofen is an anticoagulant I think.

😎💕 all i got love! Wishing your tooth and jaw a good recovery jeez

Also, I think humans do grow in their wisdom teeth properly on hunter gather diets, just not on the civilized carbs… i head that somewhere by like a 20th century dentist

I've just looked, and Ibuprofen can slow down blood clotting, it seems, which I was not aware of. It is an effective anti-inflamatory, which is why they've prescribed it. Bleeding does seem to have stopped now, so maybe I'll go and get some arnica instead.
