[Advice] Rice Vinegar / Vinegar brand?

In preparation of my first q21 extraction (thanks to all the information by the users here) I am gathering my substances.

My lime is lab graded >98% but I am having trouble finding the right vinegar.
Currently I am looking at the distilled vinegar 5% acidity by Golden Mountain but it seems that it is made out of rice. I am not sure if that would be a problem.

If this isn't an option I'd like to know if anyone knows a european brand that I should buy. I live in Germany so hopefully I can get it.

For Naphtha I have "Wundbenzin"

Another question is that I often read that people use 250ml vinegar for 100mg MHRB instead of 100ml as suggested by q21. Is there a reason for it?

Hmmm. Well I'm not too familiar with the Q21 Tek, but the type of vinegar shouldn't matter as long as it's 5% acidity. It shouldn't matter what kind of vinegar it is, as the vinegar is most likely there for PH purposes. Personally, I just use regular white vinegar which you can find at any store, and it hasn't given me any problems at all.

"Wundbezin" should be fine as long as it evaporates cleanly. I'm not too familiar with that brand.

Good luck!

Wundbenzin is a pharmalogical graded naphtha. It's sold in German pharmacies only but is cleaner than Ronson / Zippo naphtha. I guess it doesn't really matter because I'm planning on doing a recrystallisation with heptane either way but I prefer a clean process which is why I use a tek without lye.

Thank you for the advice with the vinegar. I thought the same, as long as the chemical strucutre is the same it shouldn't matter but I think I'll be on the safe side and buy Sarson's distilled vinegar. After all this is my first extraction and I want everything to go smoothly.

The only uncertain is my source of MHRB but if the reviews are correct it should be decent.
