Pretty cool video on neurons and consciousness. Kind of monotone but I like the way its put together.

About an hour long.

Very nice! Hard to understand toward they end where they start theory crafting with equations and consciousness..

I just don't think you can put consciousness into a mathematical equation.

Either way, it was entertaining.

Being someone who knows quantum mechanics, I have never really liked Athene's work.

I tend to see it differently. The brain is basically a biological machine. There are triggers, that set off chemical reactions and chemicals that determine mood and understanding. Now as far as what powers our consciousness, our spirit for example, that's a whole different ballpark. The mind just doesn't seem that complicated to me.

Although I want to add I don't end up finishing the video cause I had some things to do and was extremely tired last night after working these 12 hour shifts. Ill finish it up tonight and comment note.

Hixidom, could you expand more on what aspects you don't like?

Ya I watched that one. I really liked it.

I love the ending, saying that "an afterlife is inevitable" I think social cognitive neuroscience would be a great field to go into.
