I didn't see an indication of a maximum file size when I went to attach a file...

Max upload size is 1GB though you have to upload that within half an hour.

Thanks for pointing out the half hour limit as well, although I don't intend to upload big files.
Is it OK to upload journal articles? What about books?

I think its more to do with the file type; .rar & .zip have both been tried now.
P.S. for me, the error occurs before the 30 minute mark.

The Traveler, I'm still having problems; Please Help.
I had gotten around that problem via dropbox, but now that may no longer be the best alternative.
I also couldn't upload "The Biotechnology of Cannabis Sativa - 2nd edition" directly to nexus forum or chat.
Apparently, I've had some traffic on the dropbox site.
They temporarily banned my ability to share links [ban removed today].

This email is an automated notification from Dropbox that your Public links have been temporarily suspended for generating excessive traffic. Your Dropbox will continue to function normally with the exception of Public links.
For more information on suspended links, please visit the Help Center. If this is your first suspension, you may remove the suspension by visiting your account page."
2. "The Dropbox Team Bandwidth usage The temporary ban for exceeding bandwidth limits on your shared and Public folder links was removed on March 16, 2014."
